Letter From Our CEO

I first heard the term, “It’s all about the water” when I was a 12 year old kid who was forced to pack a heavy suitcase filled with bagels from New York to bring to my grandparents who had lived in Brooklyn their entire lives and now resided in North Miami Beach. Although they were simple people with limited means, they were passionate about the culture of Brooklyn…The New York Post, The Yankees, and of course real Brooklyn water bagels. To this day, I truly believe that they were more excited to see the suitcase with sesame and poppy seeds coming out of it, than they were to see me.

Since that time almost 40 years ago I had often thought about how someone might be able to re-create and authentic New York bagel product anywhere in the world. Recognizing water was the key ingredient, I went on a quest to try and find a solution. “I simply connected the dots and was able to solve an age old problem”, and after almost a year of trials and testing of recipes and water formulas…The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Company was born.

The importance of water has been more often overlooked in everyday life than it is in creating a world class Brooklyn water bagel. That is until now..

“What is your H2OIQ?” is our marketing initiative to educate consumers about the importance of water not only as it pertains to all foods and baking products, but also our planet, our health, and everyday life. The BWB Brand is as much about health and wellness as it is about bagels and coffee. Each of our locations has the ability to manufacture as much as 5,000 gallons of “brooklynized” aquatic gold with perfect PH and mineral content in a 24 hour period, which is used in every aspect of our scalable franchise model to feed everything from iced cubes and soft drinks to coffee and soup.

We are disciplined, we are focused, and we are committed to developing reference standard fundamentals and superior operations in an effort to create exponential growth.

We do NOT sell franchises or development opportunities. We AWARD them to a select few who share the commitment and core value system to support and help build the BWB brand into a global enterprise of unlimited opportunity for everyone involved.
